A Bounty of Lettuce and French Breakfast Radishes

Greetings, fellow garden enthusiasts! It’s time for a delightful update on Tower Garden #1, where a vibrant variety of lettuce and the top two rows are adorned with the crisp, flavorful French Breakfast Radishes. Lettuce varieties are Scarlet Kale, Merlot, Large Leaf Sorrel, Mizuna Red Streaks Mustard, Gourmet, and Grand Rapids Leaf
The journey of these radishes began in the Aerogarden Harvest Slim. Initially, three seeds were sown in each pod, and as they blossomed into seedlings, the inevitable thinning process ensued, leaving one radish per pod. Some of these resilient radishes found their new home in the Tower Garden, while others were carefully transplanted into an Aerogarden Bounty. A few lucky ones even made their way back into the Harvest Slim.
The radish saga began on December 17, 2023, with the initial sowing. After a nurturing period, the thinning and transplanting took place on January 4, 2024.
Now, let’s delve into the world of the French Breakfast Radish. Hailing from France, this radish variety is known for its elongated shape, vibrant red hue, and a crisp white tip. Its mild, slightly peppery flavor makes it a delightful addition to various culinary creations.
