I am a retired Army Veteran of 23 1/2 years, with 3x Combat Deployments.
I started this journey 3 years ago, struggling with health issues. I decided to make a shift in my eating along with the frustration of rising food costs and the constant food recalls.
I started sharing what I was growing on social media and created a private social media group where I would share photos of what I was growing. Fast forward to June 2023, I became aware of the food insecurity in the military community and Sustainable Gardens 365 Movement's mission was established.
My passion lies in facilitating the establishment of Community Gardens within military installations, housing, assisted living communities, as well as.
I am dedicated to playing a role in alleviating food insecurity within these communities by ensuring the availability of fresh, wholesome food growing in the comfort of their home.
